Our Guiding Principles

2. Detox to Restore Maximum Health

It is vital to your health to engage in detox on a regular basis in order to reduce the amount of toxins and pollution in your body and to lessen the physical strain on your internal organs.  We want our bodies to function effectively so we can feel energised, happy and confident all day every day! People have undergone cleanses since anicient times to help reconnect with the divine and has long been a tradition of humankind no matter the culture or age. Improve the function of your immune system, purify your blood and strengthen your body here at Mullum Sari with one of our detox programmes.

3. Eat Raw & Drink Living Juice

A diet of raw food contains fewer trans and saturated fats than a typical Western diet as well as lowering sodium and sugar and increasing levels of potassium, magnesium, fibre, Vitamin A and health promoting antioxidants.  Following a raw food diet will result in increased energy, clearer skin, a boosted immune system and overall weight loss.   The concept of living juice was first introduced by Dr Norman Walker (1874-1983) – he declared the enzymes in fruit & vegetables die at temperatures which exceed 50 degrees celsius – juice must be extracted properly in order to be readily and quickly assimilated by the human body and to produce rapid results.  When you embark on your Healing Week you will discover how to prepare and enagage in a healthier, more nutritious diet.

4. Engage in Daily Exercise

The gym at Mullum Sari is supplied with world class health, fitness and wellbeing services and facilities providing you with a welcoming and professional atmosphere.  It is important to get into good habits.  A little exercise everyday increases self-esteem, mental focus and stamina as well as decreasing the risk of disease , stress and depression.  We can gradually guide you into a perfect exercise schedule to suit you with personal training sessions and group/one on one classes.  The better you start to feel physically, the higher your ability to multi task and manage any situation you encounter.

5. Relax and Rejuvenate

Reduce your stress levels with yoga, meditation, breathing exercises, massage, reading in a beautiful garden..the possibilites at Mullum Sari are endless.  It is important to relax in order to reduce blood pressure, decrease muscle tension and increase the blood flow to the muscles.  Feel the benefits with better sleep, increased concentration and greater efficienty in every task you take on.

Place into a mixing bowl along with all the other ingredients, using your hands if needed.

Spread the whole mixture evenly over about 3 dehydrator trays covered with Tflex sheets.   Leave in for 10-12 hours.  The result should be raw, crunchy granola.  Perfect for snacking or for a great healthy breakfast.

Wheatgrass Enemas

A wheatgrass enema is conducted much in the same way that a saline or coffee enema is – the hemorrhoidal vein located inside your rectum, absorbs the nutrients from the wheatgrass and then is taken to the liver in order to aid detoxification of the body.

In addition to this, wheatgrass is known to tone the colon as well as supplying oxygen and energy to the body when absorbed into the blood flow. The wheatgrass enemas dramatically reduce the accumulation of waste in the body as well as helping to restore normal function of a colon experiencing problems.

For the full effect it is important to move towards a diet of detox food consuming organic vegatables and salads.

Other interesting suggestions: Garlic – can help to kill parasaites, harmful bacteria and cleanse mucous congestion.
Catnip – great for stomach and digestive problems
Spirulina – detoxifies both blood and bowels.
Aloe Vera – helps to heal tissues in cases of hemorrhoids, irratible bowels and diverticultis.

Coffee Enemas – what are they and what are the benfits?

Many people are aware of the “benefits” of coffee – kick start your day, stop you from feeling sluggush in the mornings, keep you alert…but what about in the form of an enema? Coffee has numerous benefits in this form and it is a topic that medical professionals have been researching for many years.

The effects of a coffee enema are different than the typical saline enema – coffee, as we all know contains a large proportion of caffine. Caffeine, theophylline and theobromine, are combined in order to result in a relaxing effect of smooth muscle. Coffee is absorbed very quickly and in a higher concentration when inserted via the anus.  This is because the veins in this region of our body are much closer to the surface tissue. The enzymes in the coffee help to remove toxins in bile acid which are carried away by the liver.
