1. Healthy Attitude

Here at Mullum Sari we believe that a healthy attitude promotes a healthy body and a healthy mind. This is the first stage to overcome any dietary problems you may be experiencing – once you start to think like a healthy person, we know it becomes easier for you to begin your detox. Getting out of that negative mindset is imperative. Stop thinking ‘I can’t do it’ or ‘It’s too hard’ and start believing in yourself in order to make positive changes. Here at Mullum Sari we have fully qualified therapists that are able to help you every step of the way, change those negative thoughts and actions into happy, healthy ones that will stay with you forever.

4. Engage in Daily Exercise

The gym at Mullum Sari is supplied with world class health, fitness and wellbeing services and facilities providing you with a welcoming and professional atmosphere. It is important to get into good habits. A little exercise everyday increases self-esteem, mental focus and stamina as well as decreasing the risk of disease , stress and depression. We can gradually guide you into a perfect exercise schedule to suit you with personal training sessions and group/one on one classes. The better you start to feel physically, the higher your ability to multi task and manage any situation you encounter.

5. Relax and Rejuvenate

Reduce your stress levels with yoga, meditation, breathing exercises, massage, reading in a beautiful garden..the possibilites at Mullum Sari are endless. It is important to relax in order to reduce blood pressure, decrease muscle tension and increase the blood flow to the muscles. Feel the benefits with better sleep, increased concentration and greater efficienty in every task you take on.

DELICIOUS RAW GRANOLA

This recipe is the perfect healthy alternative to your usual breakfast cereal which can often be very high in sugars and carbohydrates. Start by soaking nuts and seeds – the almonds can start to soak the night before and then in the morning put the pumpkin and sunflower seeds onto soak and start making the granola in the evening.

Ingredients

2 cups almonds

1 cup sunflower seeds

1 cup pumpkin seeds

2 apples, grated

1/2 cup dried cranberries

2 tablespoons cinnamon powder

1 teaspoon ginger

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon organic mable syrup

pinch of sea salt

Soak the almonds for 12-48 hours, drain and rinse. Soak pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds for 4-6 hours, drain and rinse.

Put the soaked nuts along with the seeds into the Power Mill or blender until they are finely chopped although leaving them so they are still a little chunky.

Place into a mixing bowl along with all the other ingredients, using your hands if needed.

Spread the whole mixture evenly over about 3 dehydrator trays covered with Tflex sheets. Leave in for 10-12 hours. The result should be raw, crunchy granola. Perfect for snacking or for a great healthy breakfast.

FRUIT LEATHER ROLL UPS

Yoghurt and fresh fruit can be pureed, sweetened and spiced to make a high energy nutritious snack food. Simply select ripe or slightly over ripe produce that blend and tastes well together or try this winning recipe below…

Strawberry & Yoghurt Fruit Leather

Ingredients

1 punnet strawberries

1 banana

300g natural set yoghurt

Blend ingredients i the Power Mill Blender, pour a large circle ontp the Teflex sheet and use a large spoon to move mixture inwards towards the middlee (we want about 3-4mm thickness when on the Teflex, with the edges slightly thicker than the middle).

Dehydrate with the temperature set at 65 degrees celsius for 4-6 hours. Alternatively, you can dehydrate on a lower temperature of 55 degrees celsius for 10-12 hours.

When the fruit leather has dried, it will be a bit shiny and non sticky to touch. Allow it to cool and peel it away from the tray. Roll into a tight cylindrical shape and store in an airtight container.

Other tasty combinations to try:

bananas and pineapple with a sprinkle of cinnamon

seasonal berries and peaches with a dash of honey

mango with a small amount of fresh ginger

apple and kiwifruit

A wheatgrass enema is conducted much in the same way that a saline or coffee enema is – the hemorrhoidal vein located inside your rectum, absorbs the nutrients from the wheatgrass and then is taken to the liver in order to aid detoxification of the body.

In addition to this, wheatgrass is known to tone the colon as well as supplying oxygen and energy to the body when absorbed into the blood flow. The wheatgrass enemas dramatically reduce the accumulation of waste in the body as well as helping to restore normal function of a colon experiencing problems.

For the full effect it is important to move towards a diet of detox food consuming organic vegatables and salads.

Other interesting suggestions: Garlic – can help to kill parasaites, harmful bacteria and cleanse mucous congestion.
Catnip – great for stomach and digestive problems
Spirulina – detoxifies both blood and bowels.
Aloe Vera – helps to heal tissues in cases of hemorrhoids, irratible bowels and diverticultis.

Many people are aware of the “benefits” of coffee – kick start your day, stop you from feeling sluggush in the mornings, keep you alert…but what about in the form of an enema? Coffee has numerous benefits in this form and it is a topic that medical professionals have been researching for many years.

The effects of a coffee enema are different than the typical saline enema – coffee, as we all know contains a large proportion of caffine. Caffeine, theophylline and theobromine, are combined in order to result in a relaxing effect of smooth muscle. Coffee is absorbed very quickly and in a higher concentration when inserted via the anus. This is because the veins in this region of our body are much closer to the surface tissue. The enzymes in the coffee help to remove toxins in bile acid which are carried away by the liver.

This technique was first used as early as 1917 but used clinicaly as part of a detoxification regime by Dr Max Gerson, firstly for tubercolosis and then as a treatment for cancer in the 1930s. Basing himself on German laboratory work, Gerson believed that caffeine could stimulate the liver and gall bladder to discharge bile. He felt this process could contribute to the health of the cancer patient. Now, after more than 60 years of use in cancer treatment, the coffee enema is being research widely by Dr. Nicolas Gonzalez, MD, and the United States Cancer Institute.

Palmitates in coffee increase the production of Glutathione S-transferases (GST) by 700 times. This is a family of enzymes that are involved in the process of detoxification. These powerful free-radical-quenching enzymes assist your liver to more effectively detoxify your entire body.

Additionally, coffee contains the alkaloid theophyline which dilates blood vessels, increasing blood dialysis across the colon wall.

Increased blood supply to the intestinal tract improves muscle tone and digestion, as well as the elimination processes. Not only this but with the fact that all of our blood passes through the liver every three minutes, the 12-to-15-minute coffee retention enema increases blood flow through the liver, resulting in a form of dialysis and a uniquely effective detoxification.

Benefits of Coffee Enemas:

Aids in elimination of the liver’s toxic wastes.
Stimulates the liver to produce enzymes that clean the blood.
Draws out environmental and metabolic toxins
Improves digestion and absorption of nutrients
Cleanses the colon
Improves complexion
Reduces puffiness around the eyes
Improves joint health and flexibility
Decreases congestion and allergies

Dry Hydrotherapy Massage – Physio Point Wellsystem Medical

Imagine a full body water massage, without getting wet. This is a unique form of massage, which begins at the feet and works up the entire body, penetrating each muscle to relieve tension and encourage relaxation.

Lying on the Wellsystem means experiencing the last word in relaxation. On three counts: with its beneficial effect coming from the unique combination of water, heat and energy.

Wellsystem Medical combines the innovative principle of dry water massage with the soothing effect of heat therapy. Warm water jets hit the underside of the natural rubber bed in circular, even movements, massaging from head to toe.

Dry water massage or dry hydrotherapy is the ideal therapy supplement for patients suffering from stress, muscular tension and back pain plus there are countless applications to improve wellbeing and quality of life.

You lie fully clothed as if floating on a water bed while two jets of water (at a comfortable temperature) are expressed beneath a canopy according to a programme you can select yourself; for the whole body, or isolated trouble spots. The jets are computer-controlled to give an isolated, or whole body massage, giving a feeling similar to that experienced in hydrotherapy bath.

The settings can be adjusted during the treatment as required. All settings can be made conveniently from the lying position. Clients can select the massage intensity they require by means of the control unit at the side of positioned close to the membrane surface. The practical hand-held control unit allows you to determine which parts of the body you wish to massage.

Anyone experiencing the Wellsystem Relax for themselves, won’t want to be without it again. Take advantage of the many different possibilities offered by the Wellsystem to pamper yourself from head to toe.

The Wellsystem Medical ensures total relaxation and loosens up the muscles by means of its unique combination of warmth and water pressure. Sessions noticeably ease muscular tension and activate the metabolism. Patients with backache and other chronic complaints find a perfect complement in the Wellsystem Medical.

Length of Sessions:

This non-invasive treatment takes only 30 minutes. A course of 10 sessions is recommended to receive full benefits. No disrobing is required, nor is there personal contact. You stay dry, and your hair will remain oil-free.
